Deming Speedway Opening Night - April 8th - Results
Flyin Dustin O'Brien timed in with a car that was a little loose on a track that appeared to be more tacky than it actually was. Dustin was still able to snag 5th quick in the field of 21 cars. Dustin started in the 3rd position of his Heat Race. Dustin made his way to a second place finish for a transfer into the main event! Dustin started the A-main in 5th and quickly made his way to 3rd where he passed last year's point champion, JR Thomas and fell into 2nd. Dustin closed the gap on race leader Kyle Johnson, showed him a nose and Kyle was able to block Dustin on the final lap leaving Dustin in 2nd for the finish. Dustin put down the quickest lap time in both his heat race and the A-main event. NPS Racing Engines finished 1st and 2nd and Dustin is currently 2nd in points after round 1 and is looking forward to round 2 this Friday at Deming Speedway! Come check out the 71!
